Audit Director RI
Job Description
Audit Director, Route to Partner - Leading Accountancy Firm, Milton Keynes
\nIf you're an experienced auditor who's tired of just executing someone else's strategy and ready to start setting it yourself, this one's worth a proper look.
\nWe're working with a well established, ambitious accountancy firm based in Milton Keynes that's investing seriously in its next wave of leadership. They've got strong momentum behind them and are now looking for an Audit Director RI to help grow their presence with large and listed clients across the region. It's not a role designed to keep someone busy. It's a genuine opportunity to shape strategy, build culture, and move onto a credible path towards becoming a Responsible Individual.
\nWhat you'll be doing as Audit Director RI
\n- \n
- Working closely with senior partners to help shape the firm's strategy and drive sustainable profitability \n
- Leading audit engagements for large and listed clients, balancing hands on delivery with genuine leadership \n
- Building and developing a team, creating a culture that's inclusive, resilient and actually enjoyable to be part of \n
- Taking on an increasing RI capacity, owning client relationships and outcomes rather than just managing them \n
- Playing an active role in the firm's succession planning as it continues to grow \n
What we're looking for
\n- \n
- Solid experience at or close to Audit Director level within a mid tier or larger accountancy practice \n
- A track record managing large and listed client portfolios \n
- Someone who thinks commercially and like an owner, not just someone who's technically strong \n
- Genuine people leadership. Building and developing a team matters as much as delivering the work \n
- RI status, or a clear path towards it, would be a strong advantage \n
What's on offer
\n- \n
- Salary in the region of £90,000 to £110,000 depending on experience, plus bonus (this is an estimated range based on market rates for a comparable Audit Director RI role, to be confirmed on application) \n
- Genuine hybrid working, built into how the firm operates rather than just offered as a token benefit \n
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional days \n
- A structured, supported route towards partnership, backed by real investment in succession planning \n
- Employee recognition schemes and paid time for corporate social responsibility work \n
- An accredited Investor in People employer with genuinely accessible senior leadership \n
