Home Removals Technician

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Home Removals Technician to join our growing team in Northampton. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in delivering a professional and seamless moving experience for our customers.Working as part of a motivated team, you’ll ensure the safe handling, loading, and transportation of customers’ belongings while maintaining exceptional service standards at all times.The successful candidate must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.Salary & Benefits\n

• £13.50 p/h DOE (Approx £28k per annum)
\n
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
\n
• 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (33 days total)
\n
• Full on-the-job training provided
\n

Working Hours\n

\n
• 40 hours per week
\n
• Typically 07:30 – 16:30 (1-hour lunch included)
\n
• 5 days out of 7 (Monday–Sunday rota)
\n
• Weekly rotas provided in advance (may vary depending on site)
\n
• Weekend shifts on a rotational basis
\n

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Safely load and unload vehicles or storage containers
\n
• Handle customers’ belongings with care and professionalism
\n
• Deliver exceptional customer service during every interaction
\n
• Follow all company procedures, standards, and safety regulations
\n
• Maintain high standards of discipline, workmanship, and safety
\n
• Work to agreed schedules and ensure service expectations are met
\n
• Support and guide team members where required
\n

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will:\n

\n
• Have excellent spoken English and be both literate and numerate
\n
• Hold a full UK driving licence
\n
• Have a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
\n
• Take great care when handling customers’ possessions
\n
• Be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
\n

You will ideally also have:\n

\n
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service
\n
• The ability to work from plans/drawings and instruct others accordingly
\n
• A clear understanding of company standards relating to discipline, workmanship, and safety (including accident reporting)
\n
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and experience conducting risk assessments
\n
• Experience in office or commercial removals (desirable but not essential)
\n
