The Role:

\n

We're recruiting an experienced Pipe Fitter / Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of stainless-steel process pipework and skid assemblies for systems used in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research sectors. This role requires high-quality welding/fabrication standards, strong attention to documentation, and a safety-first approach within a GMP-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Stainless steel manual TIG and orbital TIG welding of process pipework

\n

Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions

\n

Fabrication and assembly of process pipework and associated components (valves, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.)

\n

Writing and maintaining weld logs / traceability records

\n

Fabrication and welding of stainless-steel framework and brackets

\n

Cutting, grinding, drilling of stainless-steel components

\n

Review process diagrams and work accurately from production drawings

\n

Lay out welding projects, fabricate and weld to specification

\n

Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to ensure smooth workflow

\n

Maintain welding safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment

\n

Onsite installation and maintenance operations (as required)

\n

Working in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

\n

\n

Skills & Experience Required:

\n

Proven stainless-steel TIG welding experience (manual essential; orbital highly desirable)

\n

Strong fabrication/pipefitting capability in regulated/quality-critical environments (pharma/biotech ideal)

\n

Ability to read and interpret production drawings and process diagrams

\n

Experience producing and maintaining welding documentation/weld logs

\n

Excellent attention to detail, quality and safety

\n

\n

Desirable:

\n

Recognised welding qualifications/certification (or demonstrable equivalent experience)

\n

Experience with orbital welding equipment and procedures

\n

Previous experience working to GMP standards

\n

\n
