Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst | Canterbury | Paying circa £55k

This is a highly visible role that combines financial analysis, business partnering, dashboard development and month-end accounting responsibilities. You'll work closely with operational leaders to understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive meaningful cost-saving initiatives.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining Excel reporting dashboards.
\n
• Producing insightful analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
\n
• Partnering with operational and manufacturing teams to understand costs, efficiencies and key performance drivers.
\n
• Identifying and delivering cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
\n
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
\n
• Analysing manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, overheads and production variances.
\n
• Assisting with month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
\n
• Producing KPI reporting and performance analysis for senior management.
\n
• Automating and improving financial reporting processes through the effective use of systems and data.
\n
• Providing clear financial insight and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders.
\n

About You

You will ideally have:

\n
• Experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Finance Business Partner role.
\n
• Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, modelling and data manipulation.
\n
• Experience creating dashboards in Power BI.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
\n
• Manufacturing, engineering or product-based industry experience would be advantageous.
\n
• A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or active studies towards qualification would be beneficial.
