\nMy client are a fast-growing Managing General Agent (MGA) specialising in a diverse range of insurance products, and they are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Technician to join their team.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about client service and eager to work at the heart of the insurance industry. You will collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and other key stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and contribute to ongoing growth.
\n\nUnderwriting Operations Assistant – Key duties
\nSupport the underwriting teams in delivering a high quality service
\nEnter risk and policy data into the relevant operating systems within defined Service Level Agreements
\nIssuing policy documentation, producing and checking slips and endorsements within defined Service Level Agreements
\nEnsure all documentation is saved within the relevant management storage folders
\nReviewing and resolving queries around receipt of claim premium
\nUndertake peer reviews and quality assurance checks within defined Service Level Agreements
\nMaintain close communication with brokers to obtain client information, resolve queries, and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements
\nEnsure all tasks are completed for month-end and close
\nAttend team meetings to build and maintain internal relationships and continued understanding of the business
\nAssist with training of new team members when required
\nTake ownership of identifying inefficiencies within operations and leading transformation initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
\nProactively identify, address, and rectify any operational errors to maintain the integrity of data and processes.
\n\nUnderwriting Operations Assistant – Key requirements
\nPrevious experience working in an insurance environment, with a desire to forge a career within Insurance Operations.
\nHighly organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex queries and find effective solutions.
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate with various stakeholders.
\nAble to work within a team environment, supporting colleagues to meet business objectives.
\nMS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
