Forward Deployed Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (AI focused)

£110K - £130K+

We are seeking an experienced technical leader to join a global consulting team. This role is central to shaping enterprise-scale AI transformations, combining deep technical expertise with strategic client engagement.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be both technical and commercial in approach but most importantly, AI-focused in everything you do.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working with customers to turn AI ideas and problems into real business solutions.
\n
• Designing and build AI applications, agents and automated workflows.
\n
• Connecting AI solutions with the customer's existing systems and cloud platforms (through API integrations largely).
\n
• Taking projects from concept through to deployment.
\n
• Helping organisations get the most value from AI.
\n
• Creating reusable tools and frameworks that can be scaled across their client base.
\n

You'll be one of the first Forward Deployed Engineers in Europe, partnering with customers across the UK and Europe while collaborating with a global team of engineers.

About you:

• Strong software engineering background with experience building production-grade solutions (preferably 7-10 years of experience+)
\n
• Experience working with full-stack applications -JavaScript / TypeScript, Python (Java is a bonus).
\n
• Experience working with AI technologies from Agentic systems, to RAG / CAG, LLM applications.
\n
• Experience with cloud ecosystems (GCP, Azure, AWS)
\n
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture, security and business processes.
\n
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and acting as a trusted technical advisor.
\n
