\nTo £70,000 + Benefits + Bonus
\n\nRole Profile
\nThe Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Production, Supply Chain and Maintenance teams. You will ensure that all Production KPI's are met, driving continuous improvement in Production, Supply Chain, Waste efficiency and Health & Safety.
\nKey responsibilities:
\nProduction & Engineering
\nDrive through company EH&S strategy, ensuring full Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Warehouse compliance
\nOverseeing all the operational activities of the plant
\nContinuously improving the quality of products to meet the set standards and customers' requirements
\nManaging the performance of the team while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
\nControlling expenditure and managing capital requirements within a set budgets
\nPreparing production and performance reports for senior management
\nBuilding effective professional working relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
\nDeveloping and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant
\nMaintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product
\nWork with the Maintenance Manager to identify preventative maintenance that will reduce lost time. This will be achieved by leading the site Asset maintenance and replacement strategy. Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining company quality standards using LEAN tools and continuous improvement
\nDevelop the automation strategy, in terms of equipment and paperless operations - Introduce, train and be the champion of Lean, 6 Sigma and 5 S initiatives for the Production operation.
\nSupply Chain
\nEnsuring the business operates a progressive supply chain with strong supplier relationships
\nDevelop and implement metrics that will help us become a truly customer focused organisation.
\nWork with the purchaser to deliver a value for money purchasing strategy that meets operational requirements.
\nDevelop the automation strategy, in terms of equipment and paperless operations - Introduce, train and be the champion of Lean, 6 Sigma and 5 S initiatives for Supply Chain
\n\nSkills & Experience
\nA proven track record at Leading a positive behavioural shift in a manufacturing business
\nPassion about making a difference
\nBackground in running Manufacturing operations - 5 years minimum is preferred
\nHighly capable of using and implementing Lean tools and techniques
\nAble to work and utilise process-based system
\n\nClient information
