HGV Class 1

HGV Class 1 Driver – Full Time

Griffin Freight Services are currently looking for experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join our growing team, with immediate starts available.

We specialise mainly in flatbed work, with some curtain sider work involved, operating across the UK. We are looking for reliable, professional drivers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of safety and load security.

What We Offer

Newly reviewed and competitive rates of pay (£16.20 p/h with overtime rate of £17.95 after 8hrs)

Paid breaks & Night Out Allowance

Full-time, ongoing work

Modern and well-maintained fleet

Mixture of flatbed and curtain sider work

Requirements

Minimum 1 years Class 1 driving experience preferred

Flatbed experience desirable but not essential

Good understanding of load security and driver compliance

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Must be available for regular nights out (this will range from 0-4 nights out p/week)

Good knowledge of the UK road network and motorway system

The Role

Nationwide deliveries and collections

Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

Ensuring loads are secured safely and correctly

Maintaining high standards of professionalism with customers and at delivery sites

Adhering to drivers’ hours and working time regulations

Guaranteed 40hrs per week but expect 50 + hrs per week.
