Midlands based Monday-Friday | 7:00am-4:00pm

Robert Walters is partnering with a well-established UK manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role\n

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown support, and equipment improvement projects across a busy manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

    \n
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • \n
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
  • \n
  • Working on motors, drives, control panels, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and gearboxes
  • \n
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • \n
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures including LOTO
  • \n
  • Recording maintenance activities through the CMMS system
  • \n
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • \n
  • Supporting contractors and contributing to continuous improvement projects
  • \n
About You\n
    \n
  • Time-served apprentice or NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualified in Engineering
  • \n
  • Proven experience within manufacturing, production or industrial environments
  • \n
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, including 3-phase systems and control circuits
  • \n
  • Good mechanical maintenance and diagnostic capability
  • \n
  • Able to read electrical drawings and technical schematics
  • \n
  • 18th Edition qualification desirable
  • \n
  • Flexible approach to overtime and occasional out-of-hours support
  • \n
