\n\nAre you a Production leader from a Food Manufacturing background with Bakery experience and looking for a step up into a high-impact role where you can hold ultimate responsibility for production at an iconic business?
\n\nThis historical and family-owned food manufacturer specialises in the production of traditional pastry products that are supplied to major retailers across the UK including Tesco & Waitrose. They produce almost a million units weekly and have plans to continue growing over the coming years.
\n\nIn this role you will hold overall responsibility for production, working closely with the company’s owners and overseeing about 40 staff across several lines to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products in compliance with food safety & regulatory standards.
\n\nThe ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ production management experience in Food Manufacturing along with experience specifically in a Bakery setting, preferably with pastry products although this isn’t essential. They will also need to have experience with continuous improvements or lean manufacturing.
\n\nThis is the perfect role for someone who would prefer to make a larger and more visible impact in a smaller and more relaxed business rather than being a ‘cog in the wheel’ at a larger corporation.

\n\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Leading and coordinating end-to-end production and packaging operations to meet quality & output targets \n
- Planning & delivering production schedules in line with demand, resource and maintenance requirements \n
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen performance \n
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene and H&S standards \n
The ideal person will have:

- 5+ years’ experience in Production or Manufacturing leadership in the Food Manufacturing sector \n
- Demonstrable experience specifically in a Bakery environment, preferably with pastry products although this is not essential \n
- A solid understanding of food safety standards, audits and compliance frameworks \n
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, develop and motivate teams \n
- A results-driven mentality and a focus on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement \n
