HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable commercial vehicle specialist based in Hull, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team. • Basic salary up to £46,800, increasing to £50,700 with overtime

• Fixed two-week shift rota with early and late shifts

• Work on a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans, flatbeds, curtainsiders, and tractor units

• Paid overtime for Saturday mornings (1 in 2 rota)

Duties of a HGV Technician:\n

\n
• Inspect and repair commercial vehicles to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation
\n
• Conduct fault diagnosis using advanced diagnostic equipment
\n
• Carry out general mechanical and electrical repairs as a HGV Technician
\n
• Attend breakdowns onsite and offsite as required
\n
• Maintain excellent customer service standards, ensuring vehicles remain on the road
\n
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
\n

Requirements of a HGV Technician:\n

\n
• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or equivalent
\n
• Proven experience as an HGV or Van Technician
\n
• Ability to work to high standards and attention to detail
\n
• Strong team work ethic and positive attitude
\n
• Commitment to professional development and adherence to health and safety protocols
\n
• Own set of tools
\n
• Full UK Driver’s Licence
\n
