Office-based with regular travel to company properties in Hungerford.
About the Role\n\nWe are looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Assistant to support the management and maintenance of our client’s commercial property portfolio. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with the Business & Facilities Manager to ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well-maintained and provide an excellent environment for tenants and visitors.
\nThe successful candidate will enjoy problem-solving, building relationships with tenants and contractors, and taking ownership of a wide range of facilities and property management tasks. Flexibility is essential, as occasional attendance outside normal working hours may be required for emergencies.
\n Key Responsibilities\n\n- \n
- Act as the first point of contact for tenants, contractors and service providers. \n
- Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs and planned maintenance. \n
- Carry out regular inspections across the property portfolio, identifying maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement. \n
- Assist in the management of building access, keys, security systems and alarm activations. \n
- Conduct monthly utility meter readings and prepare reports. \n
- Maintain accurate digital and paper records, including maintenance logs, inspection reports and photographic evidence. \n
- Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep where appropriate. \n
- Coordinate contractors and monitor the quality of work carried out. \n
- Support compliance with health and safety legislation by carrying out routine checks, fire testing and other statutory inspections. \n
- Respond to facilities-related emergencies and act as a key holder for company properties. \n
- Assist with the day-to-day management of serviced apartments, including guest check-ins/check-outs, coordinating cleaning, inventory checks, ordering supplies and managing laundry. \n
- Support additional facilities projects and business requirements as directed by the Business & Facilities Executive Manager or Directors. \n

- Previous experience in facilities, property management, maintenance or a similar operational role. \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. \n
- Excellent attention to detail. \n
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n

- Understanding of building systems such as electrical, plumbing etc. \n
- Experience liaising with contractors and suppliers. \n
- Experience within commercial property or serviced accommodation. \n
