Group Reporting Accountant (1st Time Mover Role)
Job Description
An excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA accountant looking to make their first move from practice into a highly capable, Group Reporting team within a large international business. You'll gain exposure to IFRS reporting, group consolidations and complex accounting projects, with genuine career progression and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders across the Group.
\nClient Details
\nThis is a business with an excellent track record of developing accountants making their first move from practice. Several members of the leadership team started in this very position before progressing into management, making it an outstanding platform for long-term career development.
\nYou'll join a close-knit team that genuinely works together rather than operating in silos. Regardless of grade, everyone gets involved in technical projects, supports each other during reporting cycles and has exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
\nYou'll regularly interact with finance teams across multiple international entities, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships as much as solving technical accounting challenges.
\nDescription
\nJoining a collaborative Group Reporting team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of technical accounting and financial reporting activities, including:
\n- \n
- Group consolidations across an international business \n
- Preparation of IFRS statutory financial statements \n
- Monthly, half-year and year-end group reporting \n
- Technical accounting research and paper writing \n
- Supporting complex accounting matters including acquisitions, disposals and new accounting standards \n
- Working closely with external auditors and finance teams across multiple international entities \n
- Contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes and controls \n
Profile
\nI'm keen to speak with ACA or ACCA qualified accountants currently working in audit or financial reporting within practice. You could come from a Big 4, Top 10 or well-regarded regional firm, but my client are far more interested in your technical foundation, curiosity and attitude than the name on your CV. You'll likely have exposure to some of the following:
\n- \n
- Group audits or multi-entity businesses \n
- IFRS financial reporting \n
- Consolidated financial statements \n
- Multi-currency environments \n
- Technical accounting issues \n
- Acquisitions, disposals or other complex accounting areas \n
Equally important are your communication skills. This role involves working with stakeholders across an international group, so we're looking for someone who can build relationships, influence others and confidently see tasks through to completion.
\nJob Offer
\n- \n
- Outstanding first move from practice \n
- Exposure to complex international group reporting \n
- Genuine progression opportunities within Group Finance \n
- Competitive salary up to £55,000 \n
- Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 at home) \n
- Annual bonus, uncapped \n
- Private Healthcare \n
- Other benefits can be discussed. \n
