Are you an experienced finance professional looking to take ownership of a finance function within a growing SME?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and ambitious business in Goole, where you'll play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial performance, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance department.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for managing the company's financial operations while providing valuable insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
\n
• Managing cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities
\n
• Overseeing all payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
\n
• Managing sales and purchase ledger functions
\n
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
\n
• Supporting year-end accounts preparation and liaising with external accountants
\n
• Ensuring financial controls and processes are maintained and improved
\n
• Producing KPI and performance reports for senior stakeholders
\n
• Managing and optimising the use of Sage accounting software across the business
\n

I'm looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys working within an SME environment and can confidently manage a varied workload.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Senior Finance Officer or similar finance position
\n
• Proven experience managing payroll processes
\n
• Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
\n
• Excellent understanding of management accounting principles
\n
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
\n
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
\n
• A proactive and commercially-minded approach
\n
