We are recruiting on behalf of Gateshead Council for an experienced Social Care Qualified AMHP to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a premium hourly rate while working consistent weekday hours in a supportive local authority.

• Monday to Friday working pattern
\n
• Fixed shift: 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

• Temporary contract with an immediate start
\n
• Supportive team and efficient recruitment process
\n
• Dedicated consultant providing support throughout your assignment
\n

\n
• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments in line with current legislation and statutory guidance.
\n
• Work collaboratively with health professionals, emergency services, and partner agencies.
\n
• Make informed decisions to safeguard individuals experiencing mental health crises.
\n
• Maintain accurate case records and complete statutory documentation.
\n
• Deliver person-centred interventions while promoting the least restrictive options wherever possible.
\n

\n
• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
\n
• Current Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification and approval.
\n
• Experience undertaking Mental Health Act assessments.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant legislation.
\n
• Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
\n
