What's the role?The Operational Quality Lead is responsible for leading and driving operational quality performance within the Transformers (Loughborough) production facilities. The role ensures that products are manufactured, tested, inspected and delivered in accordance with customer requirements, applicable standards, engineering specifications and company proceduresKey Responsibilities:\n

- Establish Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring effective implementation throughout manufacturing and assembly. \n
- Monitor and improve product conformity throughout all stages of manufacture and assembly. \n
- Verify product conformity to drawings, specifications and customer requirements. \n
- Ensure quality hold points and witness points are effectively managed. \n
- Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process. \n
- Facilitate root cause analysis activities using recognised methodologies \n
- Lead investigations into manufacturing non-conformances. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing quality performance. \n
- Support site quality improvement projects. \n
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to site quality personnel. \n
- Coach and develop quality engineers and technicians. \n
- \n
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related discipline. \n
- Formal training in root cause analysis and problem solving. \n
- CQI Membership \n
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering, quality supervision or quality leadership role within manufacturing. \n
- Strong experience and knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) \n
- Leading quality teams within an engineering or manufacturing environment. \n
- Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and inspection requirements. \n
