Paralegal - Transactional Shipping

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a leading international law firm's highly regarded Transactional Shipping team.

This is a fantastic role for someone looking to build a career in commercial law, offering hands-on involvement in high-value international shipping and finance transactions. You'll receive excellent training, work directly with clients across the globe, and gain experience far beyond a typical paralegal position.

You'll support the Completion Services team on a broad range of international transactions, including:

• Drafting transaction and completion documents.
\n
• Assisting with KYC and due diligence.
\n
• Coordinating transaction completions and closing meetings.
\n
• Arranging payment releases.
\n
• Liaising with clients, banks and international registries.
\n
• Preparing transaction bibles and completion documents.
\n
• Supporting the wider Transactional Shipping team on a variety of matters.
\n

You'll have:

• An LLB or GDL qualification.
\n
• A strong academic background (2:1 or above preferred).
\n
• Previous law firm experience (desirable).
\n
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
\n
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with international clients.
\n
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• A proactive, team-focused approach.
\n
• Strong IT skills.
\n
• Foreign language skills are a bonus but not essential.
\n

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm. Flexibility is required as transaction completions may occasionally take place outside standard office hours.
