Senior Data Strategy Analyst - AVP

Marshall Wolfe are hiring on behalf of our client within the finance industry, for a Senior Data Strategy Analyst to join a high-performing analytics team focused on delivering strategic insight, driving transformation, and supporting senior stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.

This role can be based in Northampton or Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities
\n
• Develop analytical models and frameworks to support strategic decision-making
\n
• Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transformation and analytics initiatives
\n
• Support business improvement through data interpretation and strategic recommendations
\n
• Ensure strong data quality, governance, and control practices
\n
• Contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
\n
• Mentor junior team members and support collaborative team delivery
\n

Requirements

\n
• Proven experience in analytics, data science, research, or decision intelligence roles
\n
• Experience with Python, R, SQL
\n
• Strong mathematical background and experience with classical statistical methods (inference, hypothesis testing, regression, etc.)
\n
• Financial services or consulting background preferred
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
\n
• Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or data governance frameworks
\n
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
\n
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
\n

Location: Northampton or Glasgow

Hybrid working: 2 days on site per week
