Machine Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established, family-run steel company based in Sheffield (S9). This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a reputable organisation known for its strong team culture and long-standing presence in the industry.

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery within a busy steel production environment. The role involves working with revolving belt systems, so you must be comfortable working around moving equipment and adhering to all safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently

Working with and around revolving belt systems

Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Supporting general production activities as required

Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements

Previous machine operating experience is desirable

Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Comfortable working with moving machinery, including revolving belts

Strong awareness of health and safety practices

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 07:00am - 3:45pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Friday: 07:00am - 12:00pm

Total: 38 hours per week

Pay

£13.20 per hour
