Airport Warehouse & Cargo Operatives – East Midlands Airport

Complete Workforce Solutions is building a talent pool of reliable warehouse and cargo operatives for upcoming opportunities at East Midlands Airport.

The positions will support busy e-commerce, parcel and air-cargo operations. Previous airport experience is helpful but not essential, as candidates with strong warehouse, parcel, freight or distribution experience will also be considered.

• Receiving, sorting and scanning parcels
\n
• Separating goods by destination or customer
\n
• Loading and unloading consignments
\n
• Moving goods safely around the warehouse
\n
• Preparing parcels for onward distribution
\n
• Working towards productivity and accuracy targets
\n
• Following site procedures and security requirements
\n

\n
• Building and breaking down cargo pallets
\n
• Handling pallets and ULDs
\n
• Sorting and scanning freight
\n
• Preparing cargo for aircraft movements
\n
• Moving freight between operational areas
\n
• Identifying and reporting damaged cargo
\n
• Following aviation-security and cargo-handling procedures
\n
• Completing basic operational paperwork
\n

• Morning: 6:00am–3:00pm
\n
• Late: 3:00pm–12:00am
\n
• Weekend availability may be required
\n

\n
• Previous warehouse, logistics, parcel or freight experience
\n
• Good attendance and timekeeping
\n
• The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
\n
• Reliable transport to East Midlands Airport
\n
• The right to work in the UK
\n
• The ability to complete DBS, background and security checks where required
\n
• Flexibility to work early, late and weekend shifts
\n

Cargo applicants should ideally have previous freight, pallet-building, airport warehouse or air-cargo experience. Relevant cargo training may be arranged where required.
