Personal Tax Manager - Compliance and Advisory, Doncaster

The Role

Barber McLelland is working in partnership with a highly progressive firm of Chartered Accountants who continue to build an enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first-class service to many clients in a wide variety of trade sectors.

The firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join the team to support the Partners with the delivery of tax management, advice and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients.

A desire to contribute and to support the partners in developing the department is a key part of the role.

Duties and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be an existing tax professional with exposure to compliance management and advisory work within the OMB sector, including:

• Support Partners with complex tax work
\n
• Manage client relationships to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met
\n
• Deliver tax planning and advisory services for a varied client portfolio
\n
• Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships through excellent advice and professional communication
\n
• Completion and review of personal tax returns
\n
• To coach and mentor tax employees, playing an active part in their career development
\n
• Work as part of a team to ensure the tax department is meeting commercial targets
\n

The firm are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a can-do attitude and understands the value of working as part of a team.

Skills and Qualities

The successful individual will have developed a successful career in tax, working within a firm of accountants or a tax boutique.

Experience in personal tax compliance and advisory services, corporate tax compliance, and advising clients on a variety of tax matters is essential.
