Machine Operator

We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for the Roller Department to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture of components in accordance with drawings and customer specifications.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £12.71 + piecework bonus

Type: Permanent

Location: Lye, DY9

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating machinery to assemble industrial materials
\n
• Grooving, Tapering, Lagging and Assembly of Roller components in accordance with the drawings and customer specifications
\n
• Reporting any defective tooling, jigs, machines and fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
\n
• Meet or exceed piecework quotas by completing a specific number of units or tasks within a set time frame.
\n
• Maintaining IHASCO training when necessary
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Previous experience working with a factory setting or engineering environment
\n
• Reliability and good communication skills.
\n
• Good attention to detail
\n
• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
