Finance Business Partner

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation where you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision making, partnering with stakeholders across the business and delivering high-quality financial reporting and insight to drive performance.

This job would suit a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, finalist or qualified by experience finance professional with strong management accounting expertise to be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis while acting as a trusted business partner to operational and senior stakeholders.

Having continued to invest in its operations and finance function, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and making a genuine commercial impact.

The successful individual will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, finalist or qualified by experience with strong management accounting and business partnering experience. You will have excellent analytical skills, be confident working with stakeholders across the business and be comfortable translating financial information into meaningful commercial insight. Experience of stock accounting will be highly advantageous, alongside a proactive approach to improving processes and financial controls. The successful individual will enjoy balancing technical finance responsibilities with business partnering and supporting operational decision making.

Responsibilities include:

• Partner with senior leaders and budget holders, providing financial challenge, insight and support to improve commercial performance.
\n
• Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts, focusing on accuracy, insight and value-adding analysis.
\n
• Provide high-quality financial and non-financial analysis with clear commentary on business and departmental performance.
\n
• Take an active part in budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting cycles in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
\n
• Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management, providing recommendations to support business performance.
\n
• Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, controls and reviews.
\n
• Take ownership of the stock valuation and reconciliation process.
\n
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and act as a key point of contact for the external auditors.
\n
• Prepare and oversee VAT returns and other regulatory submissions where required.
\n
• Ensure robust financial controls, processes and documentation are maintained and continuously improved.
\n
• Support the Finance Manager with strategic initiatives, ad hoc projects and provide cover when required.
\n
