Role: Machine AssistantLocation: WellingboroughSalary: £13.00 per hourHours: Rotating ShiftsWeek 1: 06:00 to 14:00 Monday to FridayWeek 2: 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to FridayJob Purpose The Machine Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Machine Operator to ensure the efficient, safe, and continuous running of production machinery. Working as part of a busy production team, you will assist with machine set-up, material handling, quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organised work area to help achieve production targets.Key Responsibilities\n

• Assist the Machine Operator in the day-to-day operation of production machinery.
\n
• Load raw materials and remove finished products from the machine safely and efficiently.
\n
• Prepare materials, tools and components required for production runs.
\n
• Carry out visual quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
\n
• Report any defects, faults or quality concerns to the Machine Operator or Supervisor.
\n
• Help with machine changeovers and basic set-up tasks as directed.
\n
• Keep the production area clean, tidy and free from hazards.
\n
• Remove waste materials and ensure recycling procedures are followed where applicable.
\n
• Package finished products in line with customer and company requirements.
\n
• Accurately complete production records and documentation where required.
\n
• Support the wider production team to meet daily production targets.
\n
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
\n
• Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
\n
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Machine Operator or Production Supervisor.
\n

Skills & Experience\n

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential.
\n
• Good attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work as part of a team.
\n
