This is a locum opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to support with ADOS assessments in Ealing, West London. The role offers £350 per assessment and requires 2 days on-site.

Role Overview

\n

We are currently seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to support with ADOS assessments for children and young people undergoing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnostic pathways.

\n

The successful candidate must have previous experience independently conducting and completing ADOS assessments, including assessment delivery, clinical observation, interpretation, and report writing. This role would suit a confident clinician who is experienced in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs and who can contribute effectively to diagnostic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for independently carrying out ADOS assessments with children and young people as part of the ASD diagnostic pathway.
  • \n
  • Duties will include delivering structured ADOS assessments, completing detailed clinical observations, interpreting assessment outcomes, and producing high-quality written reports. The clinician will also be expected to contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and provide professional input to support diagnostic conclusions and recommendations.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience conducting and completing ADOS assessments independently.
  • \n
  • Experience working with children and young people undergoing ASD diagnostic assessments.
  • \n
  • Strong clinical observation and report-writing skills.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering assessments in line with recognised diagnostic pathways.
  • \n
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist, or relevant professional registration as applicable.
  • \n
  • The ability to work confidently on-site for 2 days per week in Ealing, West London.
