We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Diss. This role is perfect for someone who has completed AAT Level 4 and is looking to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering first-class service to our clients and contributing to the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies under the guidance of senior team members.
  • \n
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records.
  • \n
  • Prepare VAT returns and support clients with digital record-keeping requirements.
  • \n
  • Help with management accounts and other financial reporting tasks.
  • \n
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, answer queries, and build strong working relationships.
  • \n
  • Ensure working papers and files meet our internal quality standards.
  • \n
  • Use a range of accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and CCH.
  • \n
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the office and support colleagues during busy periods.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • \n
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting software and Excel.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with people and building relationships.
  • \n
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage your workload effectively.
  • \n
  • Experience in an accountancy practice is helpful but not essential - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
