We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Diss. This role is perfect for someone who has completed AAT Level 4 and is looking to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering first-class service to our clients and contributing to the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies under the guidance of senior team members. \n
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. \n
- Prepare VAT returns and support clients with digital record-keeping requirements. \n
- Help with management accounts and other financial reporting tasks. \n
- Communicate with clients to gather information, answer queries, and build strong working relationships. \n
- Ensure working papers and files meet our internal quality standards. \n
- Use a range of accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and CCH. \n
- Contribute to the smooth running of the office and support colleagues during busy periods. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- AAT Level 4 qualified. \n
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. \n
- Confident using cloud-based accounting software and Excel. \n
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with people and building relationships. \n
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage your workload effectively. \n
- Experience in an accountancy practice is helpful but not essential - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important. \n
