Finance ManagerTonbridge, Kent | £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits | PermanentWe're recruiting on behalf of a successful, privately owned business based in Tonbridge that is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead its finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll manage a small finance team and play a key role in supporting the wider business through accurate financial management, reporting and continuous process improvement.The Role\n

• Leading and developing the finance team to ensure high levels of performance
\n
• Managing the sales and purchase ledger functions
\n
• Producing VAT returns and supporting overseas tax submissions
\n
• Preparing payroll information, including commission calculations and pension payments
\n
• Managing CIS returns, subcontractor payments and HMRC submissions
\n
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
\n
• Cash flow management and weekly reporting
\n
• Producing monthly management information and preparing year-end accounts to trial balance
\n
• Liaising with external accountants, insurers and other third parties
\n
• Supporting Directors with finance-related HR administration
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
\n

About You\n

\n
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional
\n
• Experience managing or mentoring a small finance team
\n
• Strong knowledge of Sage 50, Xero or similar accounting software
\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
\n
• Experience preparing VAT returns, payroll information and management accounts
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
\n
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
\n
