Programme Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of engineering and new product introduction programmes within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Working closely with senior leadership, this role is accountable for delivering strategic projects from concept through to commercial launch, ensuring successful outcomes across quality, cost and delivery objectives.

Programme Manager, Portsmouth:

• Lead a portfolio of complex engineering and product development programmes from initiation through to commercial launch.
\n

  Define project scope, budgets, resource plans, milestones and delivery schedules

\n
• \n

  Establish clear project governance, reporting structures and stakeholder communications.

\n
• \n

  Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.

\n
• \n

  Monitor programme performance using KPIs and proactive risk management techniques.

\n
• \n

  Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed quality, cost and timescale objectives.

\n
• \n

  Partner with senior leadership to align programme delivery with strategic business priorities.

\n
• \n

  Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within programme management processes and project execution.

Profile

Programme Manager, Portsmouth: A successful Programme Manager should have:

\n
• Proven experience managing complex programmes within manufacturing, engineering or technical environments.
\n
• Strong track record of delivering new product introduction or product development projects.
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
\n
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through complex project lifecycles.
\n
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.
\n
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
\n
• Skilled in project governance, risk management and performance reporting.
\n
• Professional project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent is desirable.
\n
• A strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
\n
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
\n

Important: Ideally you will have significant experience managing projects/programmes in at least one of the following sectors.
