Transport Coordinator

Good opportunity for someone to join a friendly staff team to join the Transport & Warehouse department

Transport operator will ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working in the Freight Forwarding sector along with additional duties in the warehouse (training can be provided for this)

Transport Duties:-

• Organisation & planning for transport requirements using leased vehicle and subcontractors.

• The passing of purchase invoices reserving and raising sales invoices in accordance with the company’s quality system.

• Production, checking and resolving of weekly job transaction reports

• Cargo Security; Must ensure the most current procedures are understood and correctly followed and administered and that the appropriate documentation is completed correctly.

• Ensure cost effectiveness in respect of leased vehicles and subcontracted cartage

• Assisting in the Warehouse as when required

Warehouse duties:- (training provided if required)

Warehouse operative to handle Air Export and Import freight into our transit warehouse

Air Exports cargo labelling and handling

Warehouse operative Awareness training

Handling Air imports cargo, basic ERTS knowledge required to receive and release bonded controlled cargo

Cargo x-ray operator (Not essential) - training provided

5 Years UK checks required for aviation security purposes - Basic DBS check

Forklift license and Aviation Security Training will be provided

Working hours Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm

Possible overtime on a Sunday for a few hours if & when business requires

25 days holiday increases after 5 years every year up to 28 days

Quarterly profit related bonus
