Audit Senior

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available)Department: Audit & AssuranceReporting to: Audit Manager / Audit Director

A well-established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its growing audit function. This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for leading audits from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and supporting junior team members on-site and in the office. You'll be joining a collaborative team with strong exposure to a varied client base and clear opportunities for development and progression.

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
\n
• Prepare and review audit fieldwork and financial statements
\n
• Supervise and support junior team members on-site and remotely
\n
• Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
\n
• Ensure audits are delivered within budget and timescales
\n
• Identify key risk areas and apply appropriate audit testing
\n
• Support managers with technical issues and audit file reviews
\n
• Contribute to the completion of statutory accounts and audit files
\n

\n
• ACA or ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified
\n
• Strong background in UK practice audit work
\n
• Experience leading audit sections or smaller audits
\n
• Confident supervising and reviewing junior staff
\n
• Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting standards
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• Able to manage deadlines and work across multiple assignments
\n
