Assistant Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

- London based (hybrid, 3 days in the office)

- Salary up to £80k plus bonus and benefits

An established interantional bank is looking for a qualified Assistant Finance Manager to join its small UK team in London. This is a great opportunity withing the financial services sector to join a company where future career progression is available.

This is a senior level, hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial reporting, management accounts, reconciliations, and business support within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  Leading junior members of the team whilst being hands on with daily accounting duties

\n
• \n

  Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting (Bank of England / Head office etc.)

\n
• \n

  Supporting month-end close and reconciliations

\n
• \n

  Monitoring financial performance and investigating variances

\n
• \n

  Preparing accruals, prepayments, and expense analysis

\n
• \n

  VAT returns

\n
• \n

  Budgeting

\n
• \n

  Supporting audit processes and regulatory reporting activities

\n
• \n

  Producing financial data and MI for senior stakeholders

\n

To be considered suitable for this role you will need the following skills/experience:

\n
• \n

  Understanding of regulated environments (banking/financial services etc.)

\n
• \n

  Experience within an SME/small team where indviduals are hands on would be preferred

\n
• \n

  Fully qualified accountant status (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

\n
• \n

  Experience across reporting, month end and management accounting.

\n
• \n

  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

\n
• \n

  Experience with financial systems including Sage

\n
