Forklift operative

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Warehouse operative but also with proven experience working on the Counterbalance Forklift to join their growing team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, with a in date Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.

The Warehouse Operative duties will involve:-

• Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift
\n
• Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages
\n
• Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department.
\n
• Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner
\n
• Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection
\n
• Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse
\n

Hours of work are Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern 6am - 2:30pm, and 11:30am to 8:00pm or till finish.

Due to the nature of this business all candidates must have 5 full years employment / education history with no gaps and will be subject to a DBS Check. Both are for security reasons.
