Legal Director - Crime & Regulatory

Modern and progressive multi office law firm are seeking an accomplished, senior lawyer—either already operating at Legal Director level or an enthusiastic Associate / Senior Associate ready to take the next step with the support of a superb management team. In this role you will join a highly ranked Crime & Regulatory team working across a broad and complex caseload, including:\n

• Inquests and public inquiries
\n
• Professional discipline
\n
• Police gross misconduct investigations
\n
• Health & safety, environmental and licensing matters
\n
• Entity regulation (including Ofsted & CQC)
\n

As a Legal Director, you will:\n

\n
• Lead on complex, high-value regulatory matters, including advocacy where appropriate
\n
• Be a technical specialist to deal with complex inquests and fitness to practise cases, undertaking own advocacy and helping support and develop juniors
\n
• Provide commercial, pragmatic advice to businesses and individuals (insured and uninsured)
\n
• Support the strategic direction and growth of the Crime & Regulatory team
\n
• Build strong relationships with insurers, clients and internal partners
\n
• Supervise, develop and inspire junior lawyers
\n
• Contribute to business development, marketing and thought leadership
\n
• Take ownership of financial performance, important metrics and profitability
\n
