\nPosition Overview: We're seeking an Asphalt Plant Supervisor to become an integral part of our team at Divet Hill Quarry & Asphalt Plant. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role is key to our operations, focusing on batching asphalt, performing general maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt plant in line with our safety, environmental, and quality standards
Key Responsibilities\nOperate and control the asphalt batching plant in line with production schedulesAccurately batch materials (aggregates, bitumen, fillers) to meet mix design specificationsMonitor plant performance, temperatures, moisture content, and output to ensure consistent qualityCarry out routine plant inspections and basic maintenance checksAdjust plant settings to maintain product quality and efficiencyRecord production data, stock levels, and quality control results accuratelyCoordinate with quarry operatives, plant operators, and site supervisors to ensure smooth operationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all timesIdentify and report plant faults or material issues promptlyMaintain housekeeping standards across the batching plant area.
\n Skills, Knowledge & Expertise\nPrevious experience operating an asphalt batching plant or working within a quarry/heavy industrial environmentGood understanding of asphalt mix designs, material properties and quality control standardsAbility to use computerised batching control systems and interpret production specifications.Basic mechanical knowledge with strong problem-solving skillsSound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements within a quarry settingReliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
