Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy based in London who are looking for a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join their team and begin building a long-term career in civil engineering.

This is a genuine graduate opportunity with real project exposure from day one, working alongside experienced engineers on a varied portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects, with full support towards your ICE chartership.

The Role

\n

You will be involved in the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from feasibility and design through to construction and delivery. Working within a collaborative team environment, you will develop your technical skills across a broad range of disciplines and take on increasing responsibility as your confidence and competence grow.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across highways, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure
  • \n
  • Preparing drawings, calculations, and technical reports using industry-standard software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • \n
  • Carrying out site visits, surveys, and inspections, and contributing to site supervision
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders
  • \n
  • Assisting with tender documentation, specifications, and contract administration
  • \n
  • Contributing to project programmes, budgets, and risk management
  • \n
  • Working towards your ICE Initial Professional Development (IPD) record with structured mentoring and review
  • \n

What We Are Looking For

\n

A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, accredited by the ICE or equivalent professional body. You will be technically capable, analytically minded, and genuinely passionate about engineering and the built environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

\n

Some prior placement or work experience within a civil engineering or construction environment is desirable, but not essential. A full UK driving licence is advantageous.
