Overview

We are seeking an HR Business Partner to play a pivotal role in aligning our people strategy with business goals. This role involves partnering with senior management and line managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. You will work collaboratively to deliver the People Plan with a focus on retaining and engaging our people, acting as the centre of people expertise and implementing specific people approaches. The HRBP will collaborate with all parts of the HR function to maximise the effectiveness of the HR operating model and create a competitive employer brand and colleague experience by influencing and challenging the people agenda.

Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Partnering:

    \n
      \n
    • Partner with senior leadership to understand business priorities and shape people plans that support organisational goals.
    • \n
    • Use people data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, informing decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • \n
    • Design and implement HR policies and procedures.
    • \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Employee Relations & Case Management:

    \n
      \n
    • Provide expert coaching to managers on performance management, conduct, capability, absence, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
    • \n
    • Lead or advise on complex ER cases, ensuring consistency, fairness, risk mitigation, and compliance with UK employment law.

    People Development & Culture:

    \n
      \n
    • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention.
    • \n
    • Develop leadership capability through coaching, guidance, and facilitation of people-related processes.
    • \n
    • Champion a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with organisational values.

    Talent, Recruitment & Workforce Planning:

    \n
      \n
    • Support hiring strategies, selection processes, and talent pipelines across key business areas.
    • \n
    • Collaborate with leaders on succession planning and future capability needs.
    • \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Change Management & Projects:

    \n
      \n
    • Lead and support organisational change projects such as restructures, new function setup, and transformational initiatives.
    • \n
    • Work with cross-functional colleagues on HR programmes, policy implementation, and improvements to HR processes.
    • \n

Additional Responsibilities & Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Support the monthly payroll function and pick up HR administration tasks when necessary.
  • \n
  • Provide support in terms of TUPE transfer process under the guidance of the HR & Training Manager.
  • \n
  • Act as a role model and support the HR & Training Manager with the management of identified HR risks and applicable actions.

Essential qualification

CIPD Level 5 and above
