\nOur client is a well-established container logistics business operating from London Gateway and is looking to appoint a skilled Transport Planning Co-ordinator to manage and oversee overnight transport operations.
\nThis is an opportunity to join a business where the night shift plays a critical role in ensuring freight is positioned, planned and delivered ready for the following day's activities. You'll be trusted to manage transport movements, communicate with drivers and customers, and keep operations running smoothly throughout your shift.

\n\nThe Position
\nAs part of the transport team, you'll be responsible for coordinating container movements, supporting drivers on the road and ensuring operational requirements are met throughout the night.
\nWorking closely with colleagues, customers and drivers, you'll help maintain service levels while adapting to the changing demands of a busy transport operation.
\nNo two nights are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys thinking ahead, reacting to live situations and finding practical solutions.
\n\nMain Duties

- Coordinating container deliveries and collections across the UK \n
- Planning workloads to maximise fleet efficiency \n
- Supporting and communicating with drivers throughout each shift \n
- Monitoring ongoing transport activity and responding to operational changes \n
- Resolving issues that could impact service or delivery schedules \n
- Liaising with customers and internal departments to provide updates \n
- Ensuring transport activities are completed in line with company procedures \n
- Maintaining accurate operational records and documentation \n
- Assisting with shift handovers and operational planning \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience within transport planning, container haulage or logistics operations \n
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities \n
- Confidence communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues \n
- The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environment \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail \n
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications \n
- A positive and professional approach to customer service \n
Desirable

- Experience within container shipping or port-related transport operations \n
- Understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements \n
- Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations \n
- Transport Manager CPC qualification \n
