Finance Manager / Merseyside / Salary £65,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
\nAccountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing and highly successful business to recruit a Finance Manager into a key position within their finance function.
\nThis is a broad and commercially focused role offering a unique blend of financial control, reporting and business partnering responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both the finance function and operational leadership team, providing meaningful financial insight that drives performance across a key division of the business.
\nThe successful candidate will take ownership of monthly reporting, forecasting and financial controls, whilst also acting as a trusted finance partner to operational and commercial stakeholders, helping to improve profitability, support growth initiatives and influence strategic decision-making.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Partner with operational and commercial leadership teams to support the delivery of business objectives and drive financial performance \n
- Provide insightful financial analysis, reporting and commentary to support decision-making across a key business division. \n
- Support the Finance Director and FP&A function through the production of weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts and performance analysis \n
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, drive cost efficiencies and enhance profitability. \n
- Lead customer and contract profitability reporting, KPI analysis and commercial performance reviews. \n
- Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and business planning activities. \n
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. \n
- Maintain ownership of balance sheet reporting, cashflow forecasting and associated controls. \n
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls and systems. \n
- Manage external audit relationships and coordinate the year-end audit process. \n
- Lead and develop a small finance team (2) while supporting the wider finance function. \n
Key skills
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. \n
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner role. \n
- Strong financial reporting, forecasting and management accounting background. \n
- Demonstrable experience partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders. \n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial data into actionable business insight. \n
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes. \n
- Confident communicator capable of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders. \n
- Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process enhancement. \n
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience. \n
