Instrumentation Calibration Technician / Engineer with experience of calibrating electrical / temperature / pressure, measuring instrumentation is required for a permanent position in the Aberdeen/Dyce area. About the Role\n

The successful Instrument Calibration Technician, day to day duties will include:

\n

•To calibrate electronic / electrical measuring instruments such as pyrometry / temperature / heat / thermocouple / thermowells measuring instrumentation to NADCAP / AMS2750D requirements.

\n

•Carry out pressure, flow calibrations.

\n

•Documenting and inputting data / results onto computer and producing quality written documents.

\n

•To follow company H&S guidelines.

\n

To be suitable for this Instrumentation Calibration Engineer role you must have the following experience:

\n

•Preferably have previous experience as an Instrument calibration engineer / technician.

\n

•Preferably previous experience of calibrating Temperature / Heat / Pyrometry, Thermowells, Thermocouples, Pressure and electrical.

\n

•Ideally will have completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or be time served.

\n

•Must be PC literate. Must be experienced in MS Excel.

\n

•Must have good interpersonal communication skills and be able to work with the minimum of supervision.

\n

The ideal Instrument Calibration Engineer will have the following experience / skills:

\n

•Ideally will have completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship and or hold an equivalent engineering / technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above.

\n

•Proven customer facing experience.

\n

•Experience of using Eurotherm (advanced instrumentation equipment)

\n

•Calibrating of furnace plant / electronic measuring equipment to NADCAP / AMS2750D requirements.

\n

•Heat treatment plant calibration / TUS / SAT tests / using thermocouples / electronic measuring equipment.

\n

•Pressure, temperature calibration experience traceable or UKAS standards.

\n

•Understanding of metrology.

\n

•Knowledge of importing / exporting from Excel databases and report generation from databases.

\n

•Experience within the Aerospace, Automotive or Manufacturing sectors.

\n

Requirements\n

The main accountabilities

\n

•Calibration of Electrical measuring instrumentation to National UKAS standards.

\n

•Documenting and inputting data / results into computer.

\n

•Maintain the Calibration Database and filing system

\n

•Maintenance of Calibration Certification and files

\n

•Assist in the development and Improvement of Inspection and Calibration procedures

\n

•Participate in Trescal Inter laboratory measurement audits

\n

•Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all equipment and service

\n

•Perform other laboratory support functions as required in an efficient and orderly manner

\n
