Overview
\n We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed lorry to deliver goods across various locations. The ideal applicant will possess a valid HGV Class 2 licence, along with experience in delivery operations and flatbed handling.

Duties

• Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 lorry, ensuring adherence to all road safety regulations and company policies
\n
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured correctly during transit
\n
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
\n
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
\n
• Assist with the loading and unloading process when required, maintaining health and safety standards
\n
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
\n

Experience

\n
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in similar roles
\n
• Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and securing cargo effectively
\n
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) is essential
\n
• Knowledge of current driving regulations and health & safety standards relevant to commercial driving
\n
• Experience with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous
\n
