Housing Officer

We are currently working with a specialist supported housing provider to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Housing Officer on a permanent basis. The postholder will support service users to maintain their tenancies and to achieve their aspirations for independent living.

Hours: Monday to Friday | 37

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on experience)

Location: Travel across North London, Essex and Hertfordshire

Contract: Permanent

Key duties:

\n
• Deliver a customer-focused service whilst delivering performance targets and minimising void property times
\n
• Prepare tenancy agreements and information packs
\n
• Complete or ensure completion of the Housing Benefit and council tax benefit forms (if applicable) and ensure receipted acceptance by council
\n
• Provide expert advice to the scheme staff on matters of rents and housing benefits
\n
• Liaise where required with the area surveyors and scheme staff in the provision of information or advice
\n
• Review needs and risk assessments in relation to the requirements of any related housing management task
\n

The successful candidate will have:

• Full UK Clean Driving licence
\n
• Enhanced DBS
\n
• Experience within a supported living environment or social housing setting
\n
