\nReed is recruiting for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based on-site in Sunderland. This opportunity would suit an individual who thrives in a precision-focused production environment and can contribute positively within a collaborative team culture. The position offers involvement in the manufacture of high-quality metal components supporting a varied and fast-paced operation. \n2.What you’ll be doing

- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components using engineering drawings, specifications, and production instructions to required quality standards. \n
- Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently, ensuring all work is completed within agreed production timescales. \n
- Inspect completed work to identify defects, inaccuracies, or material issues, taking corrective action where required. \n
- Collaborate with colleagues across production and engineering teams to support workflow efficiency and resolve manufacturing challenges. \n
- Have a flexible approach as each job will be unique - be happy getting stuck in where needed to ensure timely delivery to Customers. \n
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment while adhering to health, safety, and company compliance procedures. \n
3.Who we’re looking for

- Previous experience within sheet metal fabrication or a similar engineering and manufacturing environment. \n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately to support precise fabrication work. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing production requirements and priorities. \n
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work productively within a team-based environment. \n
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. \n
