Warehouse Operative

Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to work 4 days on 4 days off. The company are a well-established Transport company based in the Slough, Berkshire area.

The position is available due to growth, with the company continuing to grow with exciting future plans.

Daily duties include:-

• Manual Handling of all types of cargo, mainly perishables; Chilled, Frozen and Ambient Temperatures.
\n
• Use of our range of Counter-Balance Fork Lift Trucks from 1.5T - 8T.
\n
• Picking/Packing, Splitting and Sorting shipments according to instructions in a timely manner.
\n
• Loading and un-loading of our range of vehicles from Vans, up to Artics’. Plus, other visiting drivers.
\n
• Sorting, stacking and building our aircraft pallet stocks, as well as logging them in/out using our computer system and generating paperwork for the same.
\n
• Keeping accurate logs (both on paper, and also electronically) of the stock in the Warehouse, including all movements in/out.
\n
• Working with the office team to effectively carry out the duties for each shift, as outlined by the supervisor and Warehouse management throughout the day.
\n
• Best Housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all staff.
\n

Required experience:-

\n
• Minimum 3 years warehousing experience
\n
• Previous working experience in the Freight industry
\n
• Forklift licence for B1 classification (A B2 licence is preferred, but not essential)
\n

Working Hours are 4 days on 4 days off, starting at 0900 and finishing at 1900 (10 hour shifts)
