Emergency Lighting Engineer (Subcontract) Swindon £230 per Day + Expenses

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Emergency Lighting Engineer to support a well-established fire and life safety company on a subcontract basis, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity for an engineer with experience carrying out the testing, inspection, servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems across commercial and industrial sites.

Role & Responsibilities

Carrying out the testing, inspection, servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
\n Completing emergency lighting inspections in line with BS 5266 standards
\n Fault finding and carrying out remedial works where required
\n Replacing defective emergency lighting fittings and components
\n Completing accurate service reports and compliance documentation
\n Working across commercial and industrial sites throughout Swindon and the surrounding areas
\n Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
\n Maintaining excellent communication with customers and site contacts

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience as an Emergency Lighting Engineer
\n Strong knowledge of emergency lighting testing and maintenance
\n Good understanding of BS 5266 standards
\n Experience working within commercial environments
\n Full UK driving licence (essential)
\n ECS/CSCS card (preferred)
\n IPAF and/or PASMA (desirable)
\n Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
\n Own tools and transport preferred
