Assembly & Production

  • Assemble medical devices and related components.
  • Perform detailed tasks using tools such as microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesive bonding.
  • Execute electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
  • Operate various manufacturing equipment and machinery per documented procedures.

Quality Control & Testing

  • Perform visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
  • Run tests on units using computerized test equipment.
  • Repair and correct devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Maintain accurate records (travelers, shop floor paperwork, quality documents) to ensure part traceability and address quality issues.

Safety & Maintenance

  • Clean tools and equipment according to documented procedures.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste material in designated hazardous waste areas.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices/equipment.
  • Cooperate in keeping a clean, sanitary work environment throughout the building.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual goals and cell performance metrics.
  • Notify supervisors or leads regarding the need to replenish supplies or any production difficulties that cannot be easily corrected.

Job RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Language & Communication: Ability to read, comprehend, follow written procedures, speak, and communicate effectively in English (at a 6th-grade level minimum).
  • Math: Good basic math skills (at a 6th-grade level minimum).
  • Physical: Good dexterity to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Technical: Understanding of and ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
  • Workflow Management: Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
  • Judgment: Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
