Position Overview
A nonprofit organization is seeking a Temporary Finance & Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative and finance support during a temporary staffing transition. This role supports a variety of day-to-day financial and administrative processes that help ensure financial information is processed accurately, documentation is organized, and routine accounting activities are completed in a timely manner. The Coordinator will work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to support daily financial operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
- Coordinate vendor invoice approvals and prepare invoices for payment processing.
- Assist with monthly revenue tracking and reconciliations.
- Support budget tracking for organizational meetings, trainings, and retreats.
- Enter routine financial information into accounting systems and Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist with grant budget setup, bank reconciliations, and maintaining organized financial records.
- Provide general administrative and finance support to the Finance and Accounting team and assist with other projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- One to three years of experience in finance support, accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with accounting software; Sage Intacct experience is a plus, but not required.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a nonprofit or legal organization
- Familiarity with grant accounting and fund tracking
- Experience supporting audits or financial reviews
