Job Description

Position Overview
A nonprofit organization is seeking a Temporary Finance & Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative and finance support during a temporary staffing transition. • Assist with monthly revenue tracking and reconciliations.
  • Support budget tracking for organizational meetings, trainings, and retreats.
  • Enter routine financial information into accounting systems and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist with grant budget setup, bank reconciliations, and maintaining organized financial records.
  • Provide general administrative and finance support to the Finance and Accounting team and assist with other projects as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • One to three years of experience in finance support, accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with accounting software; Sage Intacct experience is a plus, but not required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with financial information in a collaborative environment. While the position works closely with the accounting team, it is primarily a finance support and coordination role rather than a professional accounting position.

  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with grant accounting and fund tracking
  • Experience supporting audits or financial reviews
