Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Supporting medication management in a Behavioral Health environment, this per diem pharmacist position offers a critical role in ensuring safe, effective medication use for inpatient care. The role involves weekend shifts and PTO coverage with a schedule designed for work-life balance, making it ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible hours.

Location: Siloam Springs, AR
Schedule:

  • Weekends: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (one weekend per month)
  • PTO coverage days for Days of Pharmacy (DOP) as needed
  • Weekday shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill medication orders and deliver medications to medication rooms
  • Replenish Omnicell and floor stock to maintain medication availability
  • Review clinical data and process orders, ensuring appropriate therapy for patients
  • Effectively communicate with physicians regarding treatment plans and potential drug interactions
  • Support nursing and medical staff by responding to medication-related questions
  • Work independently during weekends without technician support
  • Complete mandatory orientation and training sessions to ensure readiness

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Arkansas pharmacy license
  • Experience in hospital inpatient or retail pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems; experience with Omnicell is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a behavioral health inpatient environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams

Additional Details:

  • Mandatory orientation scheduled for August 10-11
  • Training begins week of August 17
  • Coverage starts weekend of August 22-23, continuing through various dates into November, including some holidays
  • Position requires adaptability to cover varying dates and shifts as requested
