Travel Inpatient Pharmacist in Los Angeles, CA

Seeking experienced Travel Pharmacists to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations on the California Central Coast. These key roles offer a dynamic environment serving hospital patients with comprehensive pharmaceutical care.

Locations: San Luis Obispo, CA and Templeton, CA
Job Type: Travel (13+ weeks)
Schedule:

• Days: Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Nights: Rotating 7 days on, 7 days off (night shift)

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to protocols
• Collaborating and consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication regimens
• Managing pharmacokinetic monitoring and adjustments for complex cases
• Utilizing IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to maintain precise medication records and dispensing

Qualifications:

• Active CA Pharmacist license required
• Minimum one year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with both EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary clinical teams
