Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Speech Language Pathologist License required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, and individualized education plan (IEP) development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among elementary and middle school students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students based on identified needs
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to student planning
  • Adapt therapy techniques to diverse learning styles and needs within the school environment
