Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana SPED Educator Certificate required
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary resource level
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Competent in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to address diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted special education instruction to students based on their individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for each student
- Implement evidence-based interventions to support academic and behavioral success
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Liaise with classroom teachers, related service providers, and support staff to foster student growth
- Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where all students feel valued and empowered
