Special Education Teacher in La Place, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana SPED Educator Certificate required
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary resource level
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Competent in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to address diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted special education instruction to students based on their individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for each student
• Implement evidence-based interventions to support academic and behavioral success
• Contribute actively to IEP meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Liaise with classroom teachers, related service providers, and support staff to foster student growth
